Standard User Posts: 22 lekw 10th Apr 2015 01:52:18 Thank you I will take your advice and use the Prussians. For the pikes and most other things I was intending to use the Great Northern War range. I cannot thank you enough for the info on the bases. I will likely follow your model. |
Standard User Posts: 22 lekw 15th Apr 2015 01:16:26 One more question; where did you get the wood defenses the Saxons are behind (sorry forgot the word for this earthworks). Thanks!!! |
Standard User Posts: 1 RittmeisterKrefeld 17th Apr 2015 12:11:33 I think i have the same question as lekw. How did you make the cheveau de frise for the saxons? |
Standard User Posts: 162 Stenbock 19th Apr 2015 08:20:34 Lekw and Rittmeister I did them myself using a 60 by 15mm base (and some smaller ones) a hobby matchstick (one of those fatter ones) and some copper rod (0.5mm) and a drill and some patience. Not totally to scale, but they work well. I have packed them all for Salute, but we will take some picture of them this weekend so you get the idea. As Nick is saying you could use the "turncoat" ones as swedes from the SYW range but bear in mind that they are made by a different sculptor and have a slightly different look - it will probably work. Anyway great to hear about your projects - let me know if there is something else you want to know. Between I and Nick we are certainly willing and hopefully able to sort your out. A good place to visit, if you haven't already, is www.tacitus.nu/gnw/battles/ / Per |
