I was curious to know if we're ever going to see some landsknecht soldiers? I think they'd be a good compliment to the late medieval minis that are out, especially some of the heavy cavalry. I'd think it'd be awesome to see some pikemen, handgunners, artillery and crew; maybe some stradiots too. What does everyone else thing? -Pat

The Italian Wars is a great period to game, and there's nothing more impressive than a massive pike block of colourful Landsknechts. A little goes a long way |
Exactly! I hope one day it happens. I also think having some skrimishing figures would be good for the forelorn hope |
Administrator Posts: 895 peter 26th Aug 2015 08:42:25 I am looking at adding a Condottiere/Italian Wars range. Thus will include Landsknechte etc. I can't give any idea of a time scale yet, but it is in the planning. I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
That is a period I would happily buy quite a bit for. Please don't produce Spanish in those puffy things at the top of their legs. They wore tight hose for the bulk of the Italian Wars, often with a skirted tunic worn over. Landsknechts didn't wear pluderhosen until after the 1530s. A little goes a long way |
That's awesome Peter! I really hope they are the iconic landsknecht, so basically 1500-1530s. Besides continue to build my massive FPW collection this is one area that i'd definitely buy a good number of. -Pat |
