Finished it just in time. Check the updated blog for pictures. Must add that the rules are not entirely clear. a. the short Old Trousers rules are sometimes a bit too brief. b. the Leipzig Lite rules are a conversion, but also not entirely clear. c. Sgt Luddite send me a Waterloo Lite conversion of the Leipzig Lite rules, but that sort of tripled the rule problems. d. besides, this was the very first time. Should have taken more time to study the rules probably. Anyway, the demo was ok, what I didn't know I improvised, the rules aren't too hard after all and besides, it's the fun that counts, not the rules. I used basic old trousers with the Waterloo setup. tnx. I now think that LL only copied the grid idea and the movement system, but that's it. After playing standard OT and rereading LL I think I know how it works. There are some very big differences between OT and LL, as I understand it. 1. OT uses a D20 crosstable. That table is not used in LL. LL uses a simple 4+/5+/6+ to hit per stand. 2. for movement, OT uses a D6 dice roll per base. LL uses one D6dice roll per Corps/division 3. In LL all stands are 1 point. In OT the stands can have values between 1-5. 4. OT uses a scoring system depending on the number of conquered/lost squares. LL has no square value system. Just fight till death. I think I will publish a 'how-to' with edited rules and pics, a kid of 'DIY Baccus Lite quickplay guide', based on Leipzig Lite and Waterloo Lite.
