TOPIC: 1866 Italian Cavalry |
Standard User Posts: 28 adam west 8th Apr 2016 01:51:59 Hello everybody! Does anybody have a suggestion for the Italian Guides and Piacenza Husssars? Thanks |
For the Guides I would go with the Franco-Prussian Prussian hussar, and for the Piacenza hussars the FPW French hussars. From the descriptions in Nigel J Smith's 'The Armies Of 1866' all that is required is a suitable paint job. In fact, having found these proxies, I may have a go at these units myself. A little goes a long way |

I would like to know if there are any suitable alternatives for light cavalry with lances as Baccus don't do any, and about half the Piedmontese light cavalry carried the lance? So far I can't see any. Gap in the range that requires filling perhaps? |

Just put it up in the Baccstarter thread. I've done a couple of requests in there. |

The kepi is almost similar and it just requires a pennant adding to the flagpole to turn it into a lance. Anyone wanting any should just notify him that you require guidon bearers only in the pack when ordering. |
