TOPIC: Black Powder rules ? |
Standard User Posts: 55 Hecoma 11th Aug 2015 12:45:09 Hi all, How do you use Black Powder with the Polemos 60mm X 30mm basing system ? A single 60mm x 30mm base for a battalion or several bases ? |
Standard User Posts: 4 Trev Crook 11th Aug 2015 09:21:54 One base per batallion. |
Several bases. With just one per battalion the table is too sparse with figures. I try to get 4 bases per unit. Mark "Extra Crispy" Severin |
Standard User Posts: 12 Dr Mike 12th Aug 2015 05:22:12 We play BP using a 60 x 30 with two 30 x 30's. Allows the scope of formations you need and gives each unit a bit more of a footprint on the table. We have considered using the 60 x 30 as a unit with formation markers, when table size is a bit more restrictive. |
I use 60x60 (FPW) with the brigade as the basic unit. I ignore low level formation changes except when the brigade is making an approach march. Most of my brigades have four regimental bases. For lower level games I use differently based figures. A little goes a long way |

Standard User Posts: 3 bfpaddles 4th Feb 2016 11:14:32 I was thinkning about useing 2 x 60 x 30 and one 60 x 10, I am hoping to get 110 inf figures per battalion/regiment. Add the extra base to shoe column of attack.

This is why I base all my 6mm on 20x20 - sheet magnet movement trays are your friend. Mark "Extra Crispy" Severin |
