What other rule sets do people most commonly use? dourpuritan 23rd Oct 2015 04:07:41 Had a go of Impetus Baroque with one of the playtesters last night, set in the ECW. Tremendous fun and I shall certainly buy them when they finally come out. A little goes a long way |
What other rule sets do people most commonly use? dourpuritan 24th Oct 2015 08:39:03 The playtest sets are still physically very ropey, and firmly under wraps. However I am going to introduce the react move, rather than put troops on opportunity, in my Italian Wars games in order to get them flowing quicker and more smoothly. A little goes a long way |

Have started looking at BBB for WW1 instead of GWSH. GWSH is great set of rules just takes more time than I have these days |

Standard User Posts: 180 David Kay 6th Mar 2016 01:27:19 Further to my post about a year ago, there is now a website with some further details about the rules I made up (as opposed to anything more precise) for fighting with 6mm Ancients, hex based terrain and an Excel spreadsheet. The site is www.veryverylittlewars.wordpress.com for those with any interest or have difficulty in getting to sleep. |

Standard User Posts: 1 rh1162 2nd May 2016 01:38:01 For Ancients it has to be "To The Strongest" Gives a realistic feel to the period and plays to a finish in a couple of hours or so ! No measuring so no arguing over millimetres too far or too close Uses any base sizes Give it a go. You will be surprised just how good these rules are |
Standard User Posts: 1 nwar19 3rd May 2016 12:12:41 I use Warmaster Ancients for my 6mm games, mostly because I didn't have to pay a cent for it. |
