TOPIC: Polemos Rules in Development |
By my count, there are the following sets of unpublished Polemos rules: Seven Years War Wars of the Roses Colonial Greco-Persian AWI/1812 Fantasy (plus possible re-releases of Ranger/Minuteman/Pony Wars) How far have they all been developed?

I am not sure on the other rules but the Seven Years War rules are more or less ready to go. With luck they will be available later in the year. |

Standard User Posts: 404 Glenn Pearce 5th Feb 2015 12:51:27 The AWI/1815 rules (North American Wars 1754-1815) have just finished another and hopefully final revision that included an extremely long and detailed play testing period. A period of extensive editing will now follow that is not under any deadline at the moment. After that the layout must be drafted etc. as it approaches it's yet undetermined publishing date. |
Thanks very much for those updates. With all of those rulesets waiting in the wings, let's hope that the new publishing model allows these sets to see the light of day soon. Which timeframe and locations will the Early Medieval set be likely to cover? And which does the Colonial rules cover?
|
At the moment the Early Medieval set is looking to go from about 750 to 1066 in and around Britain. The Colonial set can cover from about 1860 something upto the First World War ish...... I have concentreated on the British aspect but they can be used for all sorts of conflicts, I did put in a Algerian/French colonial example. With both sets I have tried to give as broad a base as possible so that players can streatch the rules periods. Standard User Posts: 17 Robert F 3rd Jul 2015 09:58:47 Hi, glad someone is excited about this. Ultimatley the release date is down to Peter. However I have written the intorduction, the troop types (one more to add though), section on sieges, preliminary unit stats (being play tested this sunday 5th July 2015), several army lists and designers notes... Still to come is two battle examples for players, glossery of terms, and general wordsmanship to tie everything in the book together. I have submitted a first draft already and I am waiting for feedback. Peter is, as he posted before, very busy over these next few weeks. However I am still working and expanding army lists and tweeking things. I hope this leaves you a little more informed. Rob. |
