TOPIC: Volley! At Farnborough 2015 |
Standard User Posts: 7 lanceflint59 20th Jul 2015 02:00:58 Hello All, There will be a 6mm Blucher napoleonic meet/competition at Farnborough on the 29th of November at the Elles Hall, home to the Farnborough Club and their annual open day, Valhalla. All the details are on the Blucher website/Forum, but basically it is a 200 point, three game format, designed at entry level to encourage new players to the rules and hobby. Not that crusty old veterans aren't welcome as well! Baccus are sponsoring the event by providing three gift vouchers, so thank you very much for your support. Please feel free to contact me if you would be interested in attending. Regards, Lance.

Standard User Posts: 7 lanceflint59 3rd Aug 2015 08:26:46 Interest currently indicates that 14 players are keen to attend Volley! Some have yet to paint their armies, but the enthusiasm is really encouraging. Lance. |
Standard User Posts: 7 lanceflint59 12th Sep 2015 08:18:43 Committed players now at 18, 12 of whom who have paid the entry fee. Good stuff! The BHGS are offering a Blucher competition, in 6mm, at Roll Call, Cranfield nr Milton Keynes, 2/3rd of April 2016. 250 points using a format very similar to the one being trialled at Volley! just Back from Colours, with a big bag of Austrians! Standard User Posts: 7 lanceflint59 23rd Nov 2015 07:36:27 Volley! Has settled down to 14 confirmed players, ready to go this coming Sunday. A good turnout and very much looking forward to the event. Lance. |
Standard User Posts: 7 lanceflint59 30th Nov 2015 03:49:43 And a satisfying success too. Fourteen players and 21 games played, all in 6mm. The majority of figures being Baccus! No particularly dominant arm or army, and the Blucher rules played very well. A very similar format is being offered at Roll Call, but be quick, the places are being taken fast! Many thanks for the sponsorship from the Baccus team. Cheers, Lance. |
Standard User Posts: 7 lanceflint59 30th Nov 2015 05:40:15 Forgot to add that the Best Presented Army prize went To Marc Roberts with his Baccus Peninsular British, I would be surprised if there are any better looking Baccus miniatures in the country? Lance. |
