A naval landing party would be great.  I know it is a stretch but how about some Bengal Lancers?....
Definitely need Indian troops for the later Sudan period.

I would ask for an expansion of the colonial line to include the Indian/North West Frontier campaigns - Indian infantry, Sikhs and Gurkhas, (also useful for WWI) some cavalry and of course some Pathans.

Hi all,

Just a quick note to let you all know that an article on the Klissow, 1702 game (from the GNW) we ran at the Joy of Six show last year features in the upcoming new MW issue, no. 373, out of Friday in the UK.

Hopefully we will get this years beautiful creations by Per into a future issue :)

What water effect did you use?
I have found gloss medium over a dark brown paint works well enough for 6mm water, in  a few coats. Commercial "tufts" are probably too big for rice plants in 6mm, but maybe static grass applied on to very small, careful drops of CA glue would work?

I had a go at this over the weekend after reading a few guides online. Mistakes I made for everyone else to learn from:

If using WD40 or similar to help the spreading, don't use too much. It will soak in, and the sealant will crack when it dries.
Don't put it on too thin - again, as it dries it might crack and leave gaps.

Going to experiment next time using backing - newspaper or clear plastic perhaps, to give extra strength. I'll post pictures if/when I get successful results!
