TOPIC: Prussian Artillery Proxies |
Standard User Posts: 5 RaySS3 28th Jul 2019 06:38:35 Hello, I am about ready to order a good amount of Prussians, but I am only seeing one type of artillery peice for them. What do you all recommend I use to help tell the difference between the 6lbs and 12lbs artillery peices? Also, which howitzers models best reflect the Prussian howitzers? Thanks, Raymond

Which period? There are Prussians in the catalogue from 1700 to 1870. A little goes a long way |

Unless your playing at a lower level such as sections or individual guns I wouldn't worry about howitzers. What I have done for most of my Napoleonic armies including the Prussians where only one model is availabe, is paint up some caissons. The 12lbs. are then identified by having a caisson present. Easy and looks good on the table, not to mention adds to the proper foot print of a battery. Hope this helps. Glenn |
