TOPIC: Separating figures from strips? |
Standard User Posts: 16 hangarflying 16th Apr 2016 06:19:46 How do you all separate figures from the strips? For example, skirmish infantry, or cavalry. Do you use a knife, or do you use snips/clippers? Just curious as to the best way to accomplish it with the minimum amount of fuss. |
If the gap is wide enough I use clippers. If it is too narrow for them then I use a craft knife pressed hard down on a self-healing mat. A little goes a long way |

I have a variety of sizes so can usually find a pair that wil cope with the gap. Occasionally I wind up snipping either side and using a blade to sever the last little bit in the middle. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is entirely optional! |

Trying to use a blade to cut our strips seems to me to court danger (all the potential of bits of metal and blade pinging round the place), as well as guaranteeing a succession of blunt blades. I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
