TOPIC: WW2 Range |
Standard User Posts: 64 Steffen1988 11th Jan 2022 02:09:18 Hi folks, I reviewed what you guys at baccus have released for the german and british WW2 ranges and I'm impressed how many variants of Equipment you could bring in the last two years. I know how though still the situation with Brexit ands Covid is, but there some details I would like to discuss about the WW2 Range. Large german wild cats (Tiger I, Tiger II, Jagdtiger) are on the way as I know. What is still missing in the "NWE" WW2 Range: - SdKfz-251 D (I'm surprised that the C family came first) - SdKfz-250 neu (also surprised over the alt family first) - Hummel (could alternative come - with the Nashorn/Hornisse - as part of the eastern Front releases) . StuH42 (late) - Möbelwagen, Ostwind and Wirbelwind SPAAG - SdKfz-7/1 and SdKfz-5/1 SPAAG - 21.Panzerdivision french funnies (SPG, APCs, Trucks) - Sherman II and III (those were also used in NWE) - Sherman IC Firefly (actual used in Italy 1944, but maybe also in independent Armoured Regiments in NWE) - Comet Also I would like to ask the following questions: - Will there be seperate Infantry Models for Finns and Hungarians on the EF? - Will there be a Ferdinant / Early Elefant Model with the EF? - Will there be a late and a early variant of the Tiger I? - Will the Tiger II get options for the Porsche and the Henschel Ttrret? - Do you plan odd Equipment like T-35, SU-76j (on PzIII Hull), Churchill Oke or 15cm sIG33 auf Panzer II?
nice regards |

The qualifier is that some things will be higher priority than others, and that will affect timing. For example, Sd7s will be in our next batch of releases, the madness that is 21s Pz is being quietly put to one side for the moment, Sherman IIs and IIIs are planned for our post East Front releases, Finns and Hungarians are way down on our list of priorities, but in true Baccus fashion, they are in long term planning. Tigers, Elefants and PZIV flak variants are on our workbench. How's that?
I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |

Standard User Posts: 2 DR650s 16th Jan 2022 09:22:43 Would it also be possible to release the M5A1 & M14 Half Tracks seperately that are currently only available as part of W44B03 British infantry Co. I could really do with these, but already have all of the other figures in that pack. |
Standard User Posts: 64 Steffen1988 17th Jan 2022 10:16:37 Good point, I was wondering why they're not seperate in the Shop. Crusader Tractos for 17pdr ATGs and Kangaroo improvised APCs would be nice. |
Administrator Posts: 897 peter 17th Jan 2022 11:00:41 All of the above requests are either completed awaiting moulding, or ready to release once we get the painted examples in and photographed. It's all down to how quickly we can get the models through the system to release. All vehicles are crewed, although we do have some empty ones in the HQ sets. Decals are now available. I have plans. Just wondering if the Jagdpanzer IV is likely to make an appearance soon? It seemed to be involved in quite a lot of the Normandy fighting. |
Administrator Posts: 897 peter 7th Feb 2022 02:30:41 We are awaiting the master of a skirtless PzIV, which will become in turn a JagdPzIV, various Flakpanzers and possibly a StuGIV. If we haven' got it in the catalogue yet, it's almost certainly on our 'to do' list. I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
That's great Peter, many thanks for letting me know. |
