Hi everyone, what's your goto for metal pikes for ECW?

My plan is to use the metal pikes I have from Warlord Games and cut them to the right size. I can probably get 3 6mm scale pikes per 28mm scale pike

One weird thing I did for 1/72 scale pikes that I read about someplace online was this.  I bought a dust broom with thin bristiles and cut them down to size and they worked great for pikes.  I would probably do the same for 6mm.  Unlimited supply just a stop at the local hardware store away.   Plus if they push into another unit they bend and dont hurt paint etc and they look super cool.   Just an idea but i think when I get to the ECW thats going to be what I try first.

In the flower-arranging section of Hobbycraft I found lengths of quite stiff green-coated wire in a packet, made by Oasis, Got about half a dozen ECW pikes from each length. Have to prime them first. Finished product looks OK to me, but as I can't get photos on here, you'll have to take my word for it.
