Before the site was updated there was a post about which figures were best as proxies for 1864 Danes and 1877 Russians. As I recall the options were Republican French and ACW with kepi, however, I cannot remember which was recommended for which. 

Also, what would people recommend for Crimean War British and Russian?

Republican French in greatcoat for Danes. The Danes did not have the cape which ACW greatcoats had. Similarly Republican French in tunic for 1877 Russians rather than ACW.
