Bicycle/ Motorcycle options

Hi Long time lurker first time poster. I am looking for help on how to represent troops with bikes. I have a ton of Baccus WW2 Germans but can't find anyone making the motorcycle, bicycle or indeed cavalry options. Before I resort to colour coding the bases I wonder if anyone out there has any ideas. I have some spare ACW horses and horse holders so I guess I could pop some horses on a base for the cavalry but am at a loss for bikes/ motorbikes.

Could try Scotia Grendel (scale 1/300)  so not far off....although never ordered anything from the site.

Hi,

For horses try the WWI German limbers code GWG11 and maybe GWG06

For motorbikes and motorbikes with sidecars try WW2 German codes WGA12 and WGA01

Regards,

Steve

Thanks for the suggestions

I went with my spare ACW dismounted cavalry horses with an Adler figure in an on guard pose with 2 horses. I have just enough to do 1 base with 2 horses per company with another for the battalion CO (2 figures and a horse). The other platoons will be regular infantry.

Still undecided about the bikes but I will order the Scottish Grendel and see how that works out

If you have spare ACW horses and horse holders, that’s a great start! You can convert them by attaching your German soldiers to these horses to represent mounted cavalry. You might need to slightly adjust the poses of the soldiers (e.g., cutting and repositioning legs or arms) to make them fit on horseback better.
