Hello everybody! Does anybody have a suggestion for the Italian Guides and Piacenza Husssars?

Thanks

For the Guides I would go with the Franco-Prussian Prussian hussar, and for the Piacenza hussars the FPW French hussars. From the descriptions in Nigel J Smith's 'The Armies Of 1866' all that is required is a suitable paint job. In fact, having found these proxies, I may have a go at these units myself.

I was looking for something suitable for these units as well so that's very handy, thanks. I would like to know if there are any suitable alternatives for light cavalry with lances as Baccus don't do any, and about half the Piedmontese light cavalry carried the lance? So far I can't see any. Gap in the range that requires filling perhaps?

How does one put in a request for certain figures to be added to the production schedule, i.e. Piedmont light cavalry with lances? I don't fancy doing head swaps with 6mm heavy cavalry.

Just put it up in the Baccstarter thread. I've done a couple of requests in there.

Thanks for that tip, as I've only been on here a few days I'm still finding my way around.

Having spoken to Peter at Derby today he suggested the Union guidon bearer as an alternative. The kepi is almost similar and it just requires a pennant adding to the flagpole to turn it into a lance. Anyone wanting any should just notify him that you require guidon bearers only in the pack when ordering.
