Spiers 101, have you come across the ezine ACW Gamer. It is packed with a great deal of useful info about uniforms, battles, campaigns, rules systems etc, and is very reasonably priced at just a few dollars per issue.

Cavalry done, these were a lot of fun to paint, now i need some Billy Yanks to fight my Johnny Rebs, in theory they should be quicker to paint, we will see...

Thanks dourpuritan until know progress has been glacial hopefully I can maintain this momentum as we are approaching the 2nd anniversary of this project is would like to have it done by Salute though in all honesty the summer is more realistic!

Have finished Major Chatham Wheat's 1st special battalion, Louisina Volunteer Infantry,  'the lowest scum of the lower Mississippi...adventurous wharf rats, theives and outcasts... and bad characters generally" aka Louisiana Tigers!

Now for some Yankee Zouaves......Need to keep the momentum going since the new year i have completed 12 bases, small batches is key as you are never too far from completion so i reckon 4 bases at a time will keep me motivated 2 formed and 2 skirmish, onward with the Union infantry as 5 regiments isnt enough to hold back my rebs.....
