TOPIC: Balloon view of 6mm figures! |
Standard User Posts: 134 ChrisBBB 14th Jan 2021 03:28:23 We've started a campaign to fight all the major battles of the Hungarian War of Independence of 1848-1849. We're two games in. Perforce, the battles are being fought remotely. My lovely Baccus 6mm armies have many advantages, but visibility via a laptop camera at a distance is not one of them. Still, we managed, and apart from the inconvenience of me occasionally having to explain what was where, the players actually liked the extra degree of fog of war. AARs here, one with close-up, one with what the players saw: https://bloodybigbattles.blogspot.com/2021/01/the-1848-campaign-begins.html https://bloodybigbattles.blogspot.com/2021/01/ah-vienna-schwechat-1848.html Chris Bloody Big BATTLES! https://groups.io/g/bloodybigbattles https://www.facebook.com/groups/1412549408869331 |
It was a cracking game - I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to dust off the troops and dice before the Covid-19 All Clear is sounded. Adds an element of fog of war! Colin the Wargamer |

You'll still have to take my word for it that there are Baccus figures on this table, though: http://bloodybigbattles.blogspot.com/2021/02/hermannstadt-micro-campaign.html

Monday's game was improved by the clearer camera picture. It didn't affect my ability to roll a 1, when a 6 would have been far better! |
T'was ever thus. A little goes a long way |
