As was observed, my battles are not so little anymore and my first solo battle of 2026 was my largest to date as all of my Romans took on a lot of my Persians, so a new thread was probably in order.

In the photograph, the Persian king (in chariot at the far end of the ridge) seeks a vantage point as his sparabara infantry advance to form a line along the valley slopes. On the opposite side of the valley, Roman legions advance with some auxiliaries trying to cross the river estuary. In the distance, beyond the central wood, lots of Persian cavalry mount an attack on the Roman left.

Not such a big battle this time as a few of my Persians took on my Armenian army in my second solo battle of the year.

In the photograph, the first melees of the battle have just started in the near left with the Persian satrap's cavalry fighting it out with the Hiberian and Albanian cavalry allies of Tigranes. Just off to the right of the melees, the infantry of the Hiberians and Albanians are moving up to support and beyond them the Armenian infantry advance. Opposite the Armenian infantry wait the Bactrian and satrapal infantry of the Persians.

And in another solo battle that stretched both historicai and geographical accuracy, my three British Celtic tribes took on three of my Near Eastern Armies.

In the photograph the Celts are trying to constrain the enemy from getting more troops across the river. The Dumnonii (with the blue shields) are forming a line between the wood and the road junction whilst Trinovante reinforcements advance along the road. In the distance the Deceangli try to sneak around the wood. The troops from Commagene hold the right side of the road as some of Herod's troops rush to support them.
