Back during the Covid pandemic, I started some Austrians for 1859 and purchased reinforcements for the project (French, Sardinians,1866 Austrians and Prussians). The plan was to use some quickplay ruleset that has been lost over the years. After I painted up a couple of Austrian units, the project languished and the abandoned Austrian units and a couple of unopened parcels from Baccus were left to gather dust.

Fast forward to 2026, I decided to resucitate the project back to life. The plan is to use Field of Battle 3 for rules and paint up the Austrians and French (and Sardinians). Here are the initial Austrians painted up:

7 line battalions, 1 jager batalion, 2 artillery batteries (4 guns), uhlans, hussars and a few command bases.
