Following on from the fun the Little One and I have had using the Men Who Would be King rules, we are now going to try the Pikeman's Lament rules from Osprey. A write up on some initial thougths and minatures we got from Pete at Salute can be found on the blog https://rollaone.com/2017/05/01/pruth-campaign-skirmish-action-in-6mm-using-pikemans-lament-part-1-the-planning-and-the-buying-some-other-stuff/ . More to follow under this heading. All the very best!

Really like the look of those. Makes me think that PL might be a good way to go with Poles and Turks. I am already thinking about using that basing system with my Contemptible Little Armies for Belgium 1914 (in 15mm).

Thanks, it is a neat system and I stole it from Michael Leck (who wrote the PL rules and about it on his blog, if you follow some of the links on my blog) it works for any skirmish game where the models stay in some kind of cohesion (group) for any scale.  Poles and Turks is a good idea. I am doing some Swedes as well like this but really need to push on with this Summer's Joy of 6 thing.

Ok here is the first game of this little diversion using a little 6mm skirmish board (2 by 2 feet). We had a fantastic time and it is a neat little set of rules! More here https://rollaone.com/2017/05/21/pruth-campaign-skirmish-action-in-6mm-using-pikemans-lament-part-3-first-game/ . / All the best

Another go at the rules, good game again and some new units! Too good weather this weekend to do any massive progress on other things but some showers allowed some time for a game of Pikeman's Lament.  More here .
