TOPIC: Seleucids |
My Seleucid Army in it's current state. Lots more undercoated and in the queue. I've done closeups and info on the melee infantry here with cavalry and missile troops focuses coming. I really must dig out the army list (WMA) and tick off the "1 unit only of these" and get more organised though... Stormrider |

I am a fan of 'pins' myself, even in the past I cut the pikes off the ECW figures and replaced them with pins, fidly but well worth it IMO. {Of course there is the great bonus that mindless opponents soon learn the hard way about putting their great big mits on the little fellers! :o) } Haven't got around to doing any ancients yet, but I must admit that over the next few weeks I will be ordering some of the Classical ranges that Peter has up for offer, especially now they can come open handed ready for pike. I would love to be able to get figures with fully lowered (horizontal) pike, but at 6mm I guess that might be a bit tricky. Storm I am looking forward to your blog post tomorrow, intrigued by your comment "it involves no painting and no gaming… but an awful lot of scheming!" ????????? |
Standard User Posts: 12 John Svensson 27th Jan 2015 12:56:06 Nice looking army, I hope to do a Sccessor army in the future also and nice to see the mix of Baccus and Rapier are compatible. I have smallish armies using both brands, but have not mixed together. |
They certainly work within the same army though I wouldn't mix them in the same unit where possible. Once I have the Seleucids to a workable level I have a Parthian army to organise too Stormrider |
Stunning paintwork there, particularly the command stand. Most impressed. A little goes a long way |
Standard User Posts: 11 Jozi's Tin Man 28th Jan 2015 04:20:03 Very nice! Once I lift my figure purchase moratorium, Selucids are on my list. |
They're back finally! Part 2 of the Force Focus is on my blog, this time focussing on the cavalry. I won't post a pic as most of the finished cavalry are ashamedly from another manufacturer but every troop choice (for WMA) has a suitable (and sometimes eccentricly chosen) Baccus code attached to it. I hope you all enjoy it and give me some feedback. Apologies that the photos aren't 100%, I'm still tweaking my setup and these ones seem a little washed out. Better lighting is on order which should rectify this. Anyway, here's the link to the post, have fun and please read around my other posts too, there's more being posted than ever before :) Stormrider |
