TOPIC: German reinforcements 1918 |
Standard User Posts: 183 pushing.tin 8th Jul 2018 07:06:42 I've been reinforcing my Germans ahead of our next bash. So the British don't feel left out I've also created them a new CP as well https://pushingtinwargames.blogspot.com/2018/07/german-reinforcements.html |
The damaged buildings are particularly good. I am assuming that as the action of 1918 moved away from the previous 3 1/2 years of pulverised terrain there would be more building around which had sustained less damage. A little goes a long way |

Although certain sectors of the front before then could have had buildings in this state, particularly further back where headquarters would have been situated. I am now working towards three sets of HQs, 1914 with tents etc, 1915-18 in bunkers and 1918, with buildings etc. There is a good picture of a HQ in the field around the time of Amiens in the Osprey book, which is basically just some cars parked up by a tree lined avenue. |

Standard User Posts: 207 monk2002uk 12th Jul 2018 02:08:09 It is an advanced divisional HQ. The main one would have been back in a chateau or the likes. Brigades also used this approach as well. Robert |
Thanks for posting the photo. That should be fairly straightforward to produce using the Baccus HQ figures and some vehicles from Irregular. A little goes a long way |
