Standard User Posts: 2 shygye 28th May 2021 04:35:23 I have a question about flags, Im new to the historical hobby as a whole (been into minatures and wargaming for 10+) and was wondering if the british carried there colors into battle (primarily zulu war) and if I should model them into my units? |
One of the major differences will be the later figure waring puttees. A little goes a long way |

Regarding flags: last time British carried their colours into battle was 1881 during the 1st Boer War. As far as I know, Isandlwana was the only occasion during the Zulu War when a regiment (the 24th) had its Colours with them, but happy to be corrected on that point! Having said that, my Early Sudan Brits still have Colour Parties because they look good!

Pretty sure that Hollywood likes to display colours flying in the centre of British squares in the Sudan. A little goes a long way |
