Having just placed an order for the Pony Wars box set, I've got a few weeks to kill before things arive, and I can start painting.

So, I'd like to see about getting basing sorted out. so I have stuff already in hand. So, how are people basing the 6mm figures?

The 6mm basing as listed in the rules is that mounted figures should have a frontage of 10mm ; 10mm for all foot; 15mm for buffalo and cattle; 30mm for wagons, and 30mm for deployed artillery. Depth is 20mm for mounted figures, 15mm for all foot; 30mm for deployed artillery, and as needed for wagons, cattle, and buffalo.

I plan to base Civilians, Cavalry and Infantry on square/rectangle bases in pairs (20x20 for mounted and 20x15 for foot), Indians on oval or circular bases (25 to 60mm wide and 30 to 60 mm deep) in groups of 5 and 10 with some 1 figure bases.  Cattle and buffalo will be mounted in the same way.  I will mount wagons and other items on 30mm wide square bases.  Characters and key leaders will be mounted solo (circles for Indians, squares for all others).  Thats my plan anyway.

Sounds like a good plan.
