TOPIC: Dark brown spray undercoats |
Standard User Posts: 144 6mmwargaming 30th Aug 2020 06:30:06 I'm looking for a dark brown spray undercoat/basecoat recommendations to use with 6mm figures? I've seen Army painter, Vallejo spray can underoats but they don't look very dark. I'm starting on Alexandrian and Persian armies (Baccus figures of course ) and I think starting with a brown instead of black base colour, will look better and save a lot of time.
A couple of links here of people who have tried this method https://irregularwars.blogspot.com/2016/02/6mm-painting-masterclass.html http://www.blmablog.com/2016/01/how-to-paint-6mm-romans.html |

Leaving aside the issue of colour, what is the experience of using non-primer paints to create an undercoat? I don't have any experience in this regard, as I have only used dedicated primers (white or light grey FWIIW). Robert |
