Hopefully your talking about the recent version written by our own very talented Nick Dorrell, who also wrote Polemos - Great Northern War. I understand it has some advanced concepts that speed up game play and make the game easier to learn. Should be a blast, enjoy. Best regards, Glenn |

I'm aware of only three players who play these rules in 6mm. One is simply using 15mm basing and the other two have chosen to customize their basing to match their own individual expectations. |
Hi Glenn, Ordered an army from Peter and the Battle of the Boyne plates from Under the Lily Banners, so set for an interesting autumn. A little goes a long way |

It's always nice to hear about peoples projects in 6mm and photos are even better. I've enjoyed snippets of your past adventures. The colour in the period is mind blowing and Peter's figures as always are such a joy to paint. I'm jealous, can you tell? Best regards, Glenn |

I was just looking for some info on the site and noticed that you asked some questions last year about RdG, so by now your probably very familar with the Polemos system. Being Canadian you were enjoying the War of 1812. For all intents and purposes the War of 1812 is a Napoleonic war. So if you want to just play some Napoleonic battles you can use RdG. My club uses the rules as "The Club Rules" and not just because I wrote it. It's because they are flexible enough to be used for almost any horse and musket period game. The only addition, if any, is added as a game only rule by the individual game/scenario designer. Most games are played as is with no special rules. On the other hand if your looking for just a Napoleonic rule set the Polemos version has a bit of a learning curve, but there are a couple of very experienced players here and the author to help you out. It's a clever set of rules that allows you to play both big and smaller battles with two rule sets under one cover. Of course if your still keen on playing General d'Armee then I don't think we can offer you very much more. However, don't hesitate to ask, we'll do whatever we can. Best regards, Glenn |

This is apparently very close to the actual 15mm basing. Also looks pretty darn close to Polemos basing to me. You could probably play these rules with Polemos basing and no house rules. |
