Hello

So if a standard base is 60x30mm  what size base do you use for small units of cavalry and infantry?  Is it 40x30 ??    Looking to play Hail Caesar with 6mm and trying to figure out how to get it based etc.   Thank you if this is a stupid question.

Hey Brad,

Consistent frontage length for your bases is what's important in HC. You can go with 80mm, 60mm or 40mm for your frontages, so long as they're the same.

All of my ancients are based on a frontage of 60mm - infantry, cavalry, skirmishers/ranged. (save for my commanders and a handful of elephants, chariots) The depths of your units, however, can vary as you please. My own units range from 20-60mm depth, depending on how I want the minis formed.

Hope this helps.

J

*small units included. That said, you could base them on smaller frontages if you wanted to. Your table!
