Hello every one,

We had the opportunity to acquire a lot to replay the Battle of Magenta (1859, June 4) with the rules of the Franco-Prussian War Polemos or Blücher FPW.
Does anyone have the battle orders or a scenario to play it?

I have just started to collect the 6mm figures for 1859 and have the order of battle in the 1859 rules by Brruce Weigle. I will attempt to scan them and copy them to this page this evening if no one else responds today. Unfortunately I have a Dutch lesson  which will take up most of the day.

Big apology - mi dispiace - the move to the Netherlands resulted in the loss of all my Bruce Weigle books, and I have now discovered that 1859 is the only one still to be replaced (I thought I had replaced them all). I will try and get a scan sent to me by a friend back in UK who I know has a copy. Again, my apologies.

With the new rules, We can continue Our Magenta Battle Project!

Well, I must apologhise, but 1859 is quite low on my priorities, so I never got round to re-ordering the Weigle book, especially as the dumb British public voted for Brexit. Hope France doesn't go the same way, but populism still seems to be on the rise - not much learned from the catatrophes of the C20th.

No worry Andy... We have what We need with this very good book and scenario! ????

New Project is the best to have positive waves!

I am looking forward to seeing how this new project develops. Although it is a low priority at present (I am enmeshed in early Post-Roman Britain at the moment), I do have the 6mm armies ready to be painted before going  into action. I have gone for a slightly bigger basing size, 75mm, just to show units in different formations and for use with at least 4 different rule sets i.e. Polemos, BBB, 1871(using the 1859 QRS) and Neil Thomas' C19th rules.
