Is there any update on the SYW rules? I've seen that they are more or less ready to go but haven't seen any update on them.

Well...I have been working on the ACW Companion volume, which is nearly finished and are due for release in the next few weeks.   Once this is done, work then starts on the SYW rules.   However, this doesn't mean an instant publication.  Yes, the rules are completed in draft, but they still need editing and, very importantly, laying out ready to print.

I will try and keep interested parties up to date, but I would prefer to have a quality finished product rather then a rushed job.

Seeing how I am kneed deep in Pony Wars/acw painting and have a pile of SYW ready to do next I think the timing is going to work out perfectly for me.   I am excited to see these rules though as I believe they are going to be excellent.

When the SYW rules do come out is there likely to be any SYW boxed starter packs?

Yes, we do intend to produce an accompanying boxed set.

Just the small matter of getting the rules to publication first...

Hello! I'm just doing my annual check in to see if there's any update on the SYW rules. Thanks!

It is possible that the Polemos SYW set might hold the Baccus record for 'project in longest gestation'...here is this trip down memory lane...although there was a Polemos set under development around in at least 2009...

While we wait with bated breath, I'm thinking of trying to adapt a version using  some combination of the Ruse de Guerre and GNW rule sets. I imagine given the shared elements of  the various Polemos rules, I'll at least be in striking distance.

You can use Ruse de Guerre until the SYW is issued they are in the same format.
