I am looking on a clarification on charging in the Polemos ECW rules. It is never explicity stated, only implicitly, that only Swedish Style Horse can charge, based on the table. All other units simply advance into combat and don't roll on the chart, correct?

Also, it does mention elsewhere 'other charging units' but I am guessing this refers to unique units like lancers which are located elsewhere in the book?

The 'other units' are really for the 'Highland superman' options in the Scots Royalist army.

Yes. Basically, only Swedish tactics horse can charge in the basic rules. Everyone else advances into contact. In additional troop types (p. 40), both Irish foot and highlanders can charge.

Scottish lancers are not given a charge move, because they usually operated with a squadron of Dutch style horse, and those were of relatively poor quality, it seems (although opinions may vary....).
