The Yanks are coming…
The Yanks are coming…
Order updates, new releases and the weekend of a great wargames show – we’ve got a bit of everything this week!
Let’s start with the all-important Magic Number, which this week is #19814. As usual, there will be some orders prior to this which will go out next week, and some after this which will already be on their way. At the moment ee have got a few gremlins in our order system, which means that some orders are not getting the confirmation email when they are placed, or one when they are despatched. Our crack tech-team are working on this even as I type….

This week’s new released are in the form of three additions to our Second World War ‘O’ Group packs. At long last, we are seeing the arrival of the US forces in the shape of a NWE 1944 Infantry company pack, along with a transport echelon and an upgrade pack for those of you wanting to field an Armoured company. These follow the pattern set by our earlier British and German releases which enable you to use the basic infantry company as the basis for large or more specifically armed formations. You can find all the information here.

The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice that these packs contain some models which aren’t yet released as single code packs. These will be made available very shortly.
Saturday March 5th sees the return of the wonderful Hammerhead wargames show at Newark showground. I am really looking forward to this for a number of reasons. One of the biggest of these for me is the reappearance of the original Pony Wars game after a haitus of around three decades. All the original scenery and figures will be in use and it’s a great chance for visitors to play with what is a great piece of our hobby’s history. The game will be opposite the Baccus stand, so if you are at the show, do come along and have a go. Places pop up regularly during the course of a game and commands don’t always last very long, so you don’t have to commit to massively long sessions.

The Baccus stand will be there with all of our usual bits and pieces along with plenty of the new ‘ O Group’ packs and the full Pony Wars range.
See you there!
