The Winged Hussars are here!
Welcome to a delayed weekly update from your friendly neighbourhood maker of little men. For various technical reasons there will be no order update this week, but normal service will be resumed with the next entry.
However, we do have a full set of nice new releases…

…in the form of our redesigned Great Northern war models for the forces of the Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. As such these little beauties can be pressed into service across a number of conflicts ranging from the Swedish wars of Gustavus Adolphus, via a fracas with the Ottoman Turks and ending up in the seemingly interminable conflicts surrounding the Great Northern War.
The centrepiece of these are armies were, of course, the spectacular Winged Hussars which come either stood,

or in full charging mode.

However, the bulk of the cavalry were composed of armoured cavalry – Pancerni – once again available in standing,

or charging poses.

To mark the release of the range we’ve made a new flags sheet available.

Full details of the range can be found here, and to answer the inevitable question, the next subject for release in the GNW range will be Cossacks followed by the completion of the Russians and finishing up with Ottoman cavalry.
Before then, we are working on the army of Byzantium to add to our Crusades range, so look out for some preview pictures in the coming weeks.
Finally for today, our next show will be Salute. I know it’s a few weeks away, but it is a monster of an event. Given the nature of the show, it really will be a good idea to let us know ahead of time if you want to indulge in some retail therapy with us. We do bring along a lot of stock, but very rarely more than two or three packs of any single code, so if you know what you want, just email or call us with your list. You can also place an order for collection through the Baccus shopping cart.
We’ll be releasing some lovely stuff at the show and we’ll be previewing these over the coming weeks.
