The Joy of Virtual Six, Order update, EU VAT and postal charges

5th Jul 2021

Oh my, this is going to be an involved post!    Firstly let's get the usual update on orders out of the way.  As of today, we have reached order number 17091

No new releases this week, but here is a picture of the Pony Wars rules due to be released in August and a link to a video about the project.

Moving on, many many thanks to all of you who attended the Joy of Virtual Six and to all the gamers, traders, panel members and admin personnell who helped make it all work.  It was a very ambitious project with three separate streams of content running simultaneously all managed live and entirely reliant on all the participants being in the right place at the right place at the right time.   By then end of the show Sean, the WingCo and I  were exhausted, but really cheered up by the really positive feedback we had from attendees.    In lieu of any entry fee, we asked visitors to leave something at a GoFundMe page raising funds for Combat Stress, and as that the time of writing this had raised just over £400.   Thank you all for your generosity.

On a more mundane subject, EU customers will no find that they are once again being charged VAT on their orders.   This is because we have joined the IOSS system, which, if it works as it should, will stop all the delays and 'handling fees' that have bedevilled orders to Europe since Brexit.

Sadly, we have had to increase postage rates to the EU to reflect both an increase in the prices we now have to pay, but also to help offset the considerable extra costs involved in joining IOSS.

Postage rates the US are also going up.   The prices to us have risen dramatically since the USA opted to leave the International Small Packet Service and we have had to reflect this.

Finally, and in response to customer requests, we now have an option to add tracking to your order.

Phew!   Normal service and new releases will be resumed shortly.
