A belated Baccus Golden Ticket winner and other bits of news.

6th Dec 2024

It’s Friday, so that means it’s time for me to report on yet another busy week at the Fortress of Darkness that is Baccus HQ.  This week, the casters and admin team have worked their little socks off and we have processed order #30436.

Today, we are profiling yet another Baccus Golden Ticket winner.  The lucky individual is Charles Sapp from the USA.   This announcement is a little late due to a combination of Charles’s reply to us coming in a few weeks after his elevation to Golden Ticket Royalty and me finding the right place to fit it in.   However, better late than never, and here, in his own words, is the Baccus Golden Ticket winner for August 2024.

‘ I love your minis because 6mm is a good balance between detail and having a lot of figures.  I love how you are a small business and not some huge company.  For being only 6mm, your minis have a lot of detail.  I have been trying to create a history channel on YouTube in my spare time (very little of that lately unfortunately), and I want to do a series on the Great Northern War and I plan on using your minis to show the battles.  One thing I really love about you guys is how you give a weekly update on what orders have been shipped.  Pictured is my Swedish army on what will be my model railroad.’

Entry to the next £60 Baccus Golden Ticket draw is really easy.  Simply place an order for £60 or more, (excluding VAT and P&P), and you are in.   Simple really, and you’ve a lot more chance of winning than entering the National Lottery!

Many thanks to all who have contacted us with messages of support over the situation with orders to the EU.   The good news is that we may have found a way of moving forward with this, but it will take a little time to sort things out.   Please bear with us while we try and resolve matters.

The next bit is on behalf of Lindy.  In her seeming endless quest to reduce our profit margins and destroy my hard-earned reputation for niggardly misery, she is putting her Twelve Days of Christmas plan into action and is posting out a dozen little gifts to customers chosen at random from all of those who have placed an order with us this year.  My reaction to all of this is along the, ‘Bah Humbug!’ lines, but I have been over-ruled…

I’ll be at the last show of 2024 in Pudsey tomorrow (as I type this).  I hope to see a few of you there.   This marks the end of what is a demanding Autumn show season and, much as I enjoy wargames shows, I will be glad that I get a couple of months off.
