The Joy of Six is getting nearer...

7th Jun 2024

Hi everyone, we’re holding off new releases this week, (and we have some lovely stuff to release on an unsuspecting world), as it’s time for an update on this year’s Joy of Six show.   However, we have the usual announcement of this week’s magic order number, which stands at #29047.

I’ve just done what will probably be the final update to this year’s Joy of Six website  www.joysofsix.co.uk.  The range of games coming along is simply breathtaking.   We’ve got monster epics, including Charles Rowntree’s stunning Omaha Beach game, and games on tiny tables.   We have twenty-five games on the day, and all but five are there for you to join in and play.

We’ve got a full slate of traders for your delectation covering pretty well every period and genre, and all there to fill the 6mm voids in your wargaming life.

As is usual, we will be hosting the Baccus Sunday Grill, where you get to ask probing in-depth questions, queries and criticisms of the Baccus Evil Empire and I do my best to avoid giving a straight answer, and also the Sunday Afternoon Panel where you get the chance to ask questions of three members of the Great and the Good of the wargaming world.

All in all, the Joy of Six is THE show to attend for the 6mm gamer.

Linked to the show, on Saturday July 13th, we will be throwing the doors of the Baccus workshop open to visitors.  It’s your chance to have a look behind the scenes of a maker of little men.  These are great fun, to the point that we are now getting repeat visitors.   Places are limited and we have spaces left on both the morning and afternoon sessions.   You can reserve your place on the tour by completing the online form at www.joysofsix.co.uk or by calling or emailing us.

Finally, and still with the 14th of July in mind, please do get the collect orders into us as early as possible.   The period leading up to JOS is stupidly busy for us, and it will help immensely if you can get those collection requests in.    On a similar note, because of the enforced shift in date JOS now takes place just a couple of weeks before the annual trip to Edinburgh for the Claymore show.   There is no way that we can fully restock from JOS for this show, so it’s important for any customers wanting anything specifically from us for this event to get those orders to us now.
