More Big Base Battalia!

The dust is now settling on the aftermath of the Joy of Six 2023, so it’s time to roll our sleeves up and get back to the serious work of making toy soldiers for the enlightened members of our wonderful 6mm wargames community.  But first, it’s the return of the ever-popular Magic Order Number, which this week stands at #24955.   We aren’t quite working on next day deliveries, but we have got the delay between order and despatch down to 8-10 days.

So what’s new for this week?

Well, no new codes as such, but I’ve added two more formations to the English Civil War big base units.   You can now assemble the army of the Solemn League and Covenant, both Foot

and Horse.

The Foot battalia differs from its English counterpart, fielding a ratio of three muskets to two pike.  The Scottish Horse bring something new to the party in the form of substantial contingent of lancers.  As with the earlier releases there are accompanying pdf guides to the formations and how to recreate them.  Click here for the Foot and here for the Horse.     You can find all the details of the units here.

We are working on a full slate of new releases across multiple periods for the Autumn and Winter, and we hope to have something for everyone, including some surprise items not listed at the beginning of the year.

The recent release of the Great Northern War Cossacks has certainly proved popular.   At the time or release we were busy organising JOS, so not all the example bases were painted.   That has now been rectified so you can see the Cossack infantry and artillery in all their glory.
