Landknechts and Desert Foxes advancing of Farnborough!
By the time that most of you will be reading this, we’ll be well on our way down South for the Warfare show in Farnborough, so there will be no magic number this week. Normal service will resume next Friday.
As the last standing two-day show in the country, we’d class Warfare as a ‘major’ event in our Calendar and we always like to have some tasty new releases available. This time round is no exception. Firstly, ahead of the official online release next week, we will have some of our quite wonderful Landsknecht pikemen. They will come in two flavours; Advancing (pike upright) and Charging {pike levelled in. ‘puncture the opponent’, mode). The former come with cast pike and the latter open handed for you to add the pike of your choice yourself.

By complete contrast, the other new release is from our second World War range in the form of the Desert Fox himself. We’ve added the man himself, plus a command group of figures and the rather eccentric group of vehicles that housed them all, including a captured British Dorchester. As we haven’t actually got a set painted, never mind photographed as yet, you will just have to take our word for it that this set truly deserves to classed as, ‘Awesome’.
There is no forward reservation of the new packs, and they will be available only on a first-come first-served basis, besides which, emailing or calling us won’t work, because we’ll be on the way to the show!
It really would not be a weekly Baccus update if there were not a reminder to get in pre-orders for a forthcoming show, and this is no exception. We will be at Battleground in Middlesbrough on November 23rd. We won’t be restocking the trade stand after this weekend which means we’ll have a lot of gaps in the ranges, so if you know what you are after, please let us know and we will sort it out.
