Ukraine Appeal

Wargaming is wonderful, all-consuming, multi-faceted and sociable hobby that brings pleasure and relaxation to millions of people all around the planet.  The real thing, however, is destructive, disruptive and deadly.  The daily news reports from Ukraine have brought that despair and suffering right into our living rooms.    Like many of you I have come face to face with a range of emotions, not least of which is frustration that there is little I can do to affect things.   What I and others can do is to support the aid agencies that are doing their best to help to the victims of this conflict.   To that end, starting with the time of posting this entry, 10% of all sales of figures and flags made through the Baccus shopping cart in the next seven days will be sent to support the work of the Disasters Emergency Committee https://www.dec.org.uk.  The DEC brings together 15 leading UK aid charities (including the British Red Cross, Cafod, Care International and Save the Children UK) to raise funds quickly and efficiently.

The war in Ukraine is human tragedy on a massive scale.  There will be grieving mothers, wives, children and families on both sides of this totally needless conflict.  My fervent wish is for it to end as soon as possible and for sanity and humanity to prevail.
