It's been a while, but we do have some new releases on their way.
One thing that has been missing from my weekly updates of late is new of new and planned releases from Baccus. That’s not to say that we don’t have some nice new goodies our collective sleeves, more a case that at this time of the year, we are diverting our attention to getting the Joy of Six underway. However, we do have some things to share, but first, the magic number, which stands at #32252.
We will have lots of nice new goodies to release at this year’s Joy of Six and we’ll be giving details of these in the days leading up to the show. Looking at the list has made me realise that, by coincidence, they are very heavily slanted to the 20th century. Personally, I much prefer painting subjects with a palette that contains more than khaki, olive drab and field grey, so I will be the first to reassure you all that the earlier years have not been forgotten.
The fact is that we’ve had a strange combination of the sculpting and various mould making cycles that has resulted in a lot of WW1 and WW2 releases all arriving at the same time. Just to reassure you that there are numerous Swiss pikemen from the Italian Wars being sculpted and will shortly be introduced to our talented mould maker. Already completed and awaiting processing are the first set of greens for our newest Ancients range – the long awaited and much-anticipated Assyrians.

These and the Swiss and a couple of other bits and pieces are part of our planned Autumn season releases so you can start your planning now.
Given that JOS is now only three weeks away, it would be remiss of me not to suggest that any collect at show orders get to us as soon as possible. We’ve a lot do in the coming weeks, and it helps us immensely if we are not doing all the work in the three days leading up to the show. You can order via the Baccus shopping cart or simply email us with a list no matter how big or small. To be honest, this also applies to orders for Claymore as well. With only two weeks between the shows, we have a lot to do to get ready for the trip up to Scotland.
Thanks to all the good wishes we’ve had about our Lens participation game. We are now happy to say that we now have confirmed appearances at Claymore and Colours and expect to add more to this list.
