One of those Good News/Bad bNews posts

Many thanks for all the messages and emails about the Gendarmes sculpts featured in last week’s updates.  Sorry, but there is some time before we convert them to something that you can buy, but at least you have an idea of what to expect. 

This week, we have a mix of good news and bad news and more previews for Salute, but first, we have this week’s order number which stands at #28348.

Let’s start with this week’s Salute preview.  This time around, the subject is Ottoman Turkish cavalry of the Great Northern War.

The additions of these and their compatriots to the existing Ottoman codes means that it will finally be possible to build complete armies of the period, so we will be adding a complementary Polemos GNW Ottoman army pack to the range.    The rather splendid flag featured on this base comes from a new Ottoman flag sheet which will also see be released at Salute.

All of which brings us to the Bad News.   I am sure that no-one can be unaware of affect that increased inflation has had on prices over the past couple of years.   Sadly, makers of little men are not immune from such pressures – in fact, I cannot think of one aspect of our overheads that has not increased in cost over the last few months, some spectacularly so.    I’ve held off from this as long as I have been able, but that cannot be sustained, so it’s with a heavy heart that I’ve got to announce a 10% price increase across most of our product ranges with effect from May 1st, 2024.

The Good News, so far as you are concerned, is that you are getting six weeks’ notice should you wish to get any orders in prior to the increase.
