Putting my cards on the table...

24th Oct 2024

I usually leave posting of the news to Peter but having seen some outside comments that are not helpful, it has prompted me to make a brief statement to clarify our situation.

Here at Baccus we are a small close team with families and, as much as we value our customers and strive to honour orders within our 2-to-3-week time frame, we will always remain supportive to our staff, their health and loved ones. Covid has taught us just how fragile life can be and we will never deny time as it is something you will never get back.

Many of our customers know why we are behind schedule.  I can write a long list of why, but that is not going to change the outcome of orders sitting on the casting pile.  What is more beneficial to all our customers is what we are doing to remedy the situation.

What I will say is, many people are joining 6mm, and this influx has added to orders at a VERY busy time. So, what are team Baccus doing?

  1. Our working hours over the last week, and following 3 weeks, are changing to add a further 4 hours a day to casting and admin.

  1. Peter and I are going to be working the next 2 weekends, in between shows.

  1. I am working closely with our overseas courier, and double entering details, to avoid parcels being lost on their way to customers. This has happened twice over the summer with a huge shipment, which all had to be recast, thus lengthening waiting times.

  1. We will always answer emails if there are issues and try and remedy problems within 24 hours if we can. We are very approachable and if you are worried about an order, email us.

Our aim is catch up with orders by the middle of November, so we are ready for the Christmas rush.

Thank you for your patience and understanding over the last few months.
