Vapnartak and Hammerhead

29th Jan 2018

Just a few words about shows coming up in the next few weeks.  Firstly on February 4th, we have Vapnartak at York Racecourse.

This is the first show of the year and what a great way to kick things off.   The venue is light and open and the guys at York Wargames Society friendly and helpful.   There's always a great atmosphere at the show and it really is the one of the best events in the country.

One month later and we'll be on our way down to Newark to the annual Hammerhead extravaganza.

Paul and Sally at Kallistra have raised this unique event to major prominence in the wargames calendar with its emphasis on playing rather than looking at games.   They now boast every major wargames supplier in the UK in attendance and it grows bigger every year.

We'll definitely be there, and we'd hope to see some of you as well.  Which brings us on to the next point...

Paul contacted me recently to let me know two things.  One they had room for some more games at the show, and that one again, they had no 6mm games on offer.   So, here's the request - if anyone wants to put on a 6mm participation game on the day, can the please contact the organisers.  They've even reserved a spot for a prime game right in front of the Baccus stand so you know you'll be amongst friends.
