TOPIC: Baccstarter Summary |
Could we have that summary of where all the various Baccstarters are again, Peter? Not that any of them looked particularly close to the finish line... |
Administrator Posts: 895 peter 1st Dec 2015 05:03:53 Sorry for the late reply. I'll have to see if I can get some time to pull this all together again. I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
Could I gently nudge this one back onto the radar? It would be nice if we could collectively actually get one across the line! But without a place for newbies in particular to see where we are, it will be pretty tricky. |
Administrator Posts: 895 peter 15th Jun 2016 08:15:59 I'm having a wee bit of an issue accessing the records at the moment. My plan is that once the tech chappies finishes the Polemos app I will move him on to doing whizzy things on the site. For Baccstarters I have in mind a page listing all of the proposals and allowing you to pledge. This will keep a running total so that you can see progress. I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
Another slight nudge for this one... |
Baccstarter Summary: So far as I can make out, the pledges on this Forum are: Armed Peasants/Pilgrims: 15 1798 Irish Rebels with Polearms: 8 Late FPW Germans in greatcoat: 5 (+2 if in pickelhaube; +2 if in fieldmutze) Late FPW Bavarians in greatcoat: 5 Late FPW French Zouaves in Kepi: 5 FPW French Naval Infantry: 16 1866 Prussian Infantry in Fatigue Cap:10 Scots-Irish Spearmen: 7 Pictish Spearmen: 7 Pictish Crossbowmen & Archers skirmishing: 6 C19 Pathan Foot: 3 C19 Mounted Pathans: 2 C19 Pathan Artillery: 1 USA - 1980s M16 firing/advancing & officers/radiomen 3 packs of 96 M249 saw 3 packs of 12 M72 LAW 3 pacs of 12 M47 Dragon 3 packs of 12 USSR - 1980s AK47 advancing/firing & officers/radiomen 3 packs of 96 RPG7 3 packs of 12 PKM lmg 3 packs of 12 SA-14 GREMLIN 3 packs of 12 USSR Airborne (not sure if there is a vast difference in unifrom?) AGS 17 grenade launchers 3 packs of 12 AT4 SPIGOT missile teams 3 packs of 12 RPG18 3 packs of 12 AK74 advancing/firing & officers/ radiomen (n.b. I am guessing that the poster meant 3 packs of these too).
I don't think any of the other suggestions had actual pledge numbers attached, so I have omitted them. Naturally there are no pledges from the old website unfortunately - only the Baccus team will have them if anyone does. |
Late FPW Zouaves in kepi are also useful for the ACW... so put me in for one! |
From the old forum, the main pledges I can remember were for: ACW infantry (with bayonets fixed? or was it in different poses?) Irish Kerns & Gallowglass for the Wars of the Roses Napoleonic French Dragoons dismounted (although this was before the re-sculpt, so perhaps Peter indicated that people should wait for this one; same for Napoleonic-era civilians) |
Standard User Posts: 1 AF 18th Jul 2018 10:21:56 I may haved missed some developments as I don't follow regularly the forum, but I distinctly remember some XVIth century references inquiries (landsknecht pikes and shots mostly). Personnally, I would happily second some more 1870 minis (both for this war and to extend the scope a little bit to the East and 1855/1877. Tunic or long coat + Feldmütze Prussians would make 'wunderbar' Russians. Count me in for at least 3 packs of closed ranks and 1 of skrimishers) and any great Italian wars to (French) wars of religion of the 1500-1590 area (nearly any reference would get my interest and about 3-5 packs, preferably if I can get hold of a whole army at once!). |
Yes, now you mention it I remember some requests for Great Italian Wars stuff too. I think Peter will have to rule on whether he can still access the requests on the old Baccus forum or if he needs it all re-submitting. |
