I had the privilege to be involved in some serious wargaming at the US Naval War College last week. A bit hard to tell from the photo, but the armies are Baccus 6mm Franco-Prussian War figures.

Yes, I met some impressive people who are absolutely sold on the value of wargaming for this purpose. We had really interesting discussion about the methods of instruction aspect, and - especially if extended to more junior ranks, NCOs even - how you would need to present a wargame so that it gets taken seriously as a training tool and not dismissed as Dungeons & Dragons bs.

I think this will be a fun ride.
