Hello mangemani!

All the better, as in most cases the 60x30 base is intended to represent the frontage of a battalion or a cavalry regiment. This is critical if your planning on recreating historical battlefields.

Best regards,

Glenn

hmm, ok, ill see. but how many horses can you fit on a 60 x 30 base? is it enough space to fit like 2-3 ranks and maybe 8-9 in each rank? crowded or perfect?

Hello mangemani!

It depends. The more you crowd 6mm figures the more blobby and dark they look. Spacing them out a little more allows more light in and more colour out. However, some do prefer to pack them in. I only put one rank of 9 cavalry on my bases. You can fit two ranks of 9 if you want to. Anything beyond that is not very easy to do and certainly looks over crowed to me. If you surf this site you will see examples of one and two ranks.

Best regards,

Glenn
