TOPIC: Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign |
Standard User Posts: 4 Henk Vervaeke 4th Jun 2020 05:24:34 Hi, Any chance of having extensions to existing Napoleonic ranges (eg Austrians) to cover the Revolutionary wars and Italian Campaign? Napoleons rise to power should be covered by Baccus, no? Henk

Administrator Posts: 897 peter 5th Jun 2020 09:41:27 I am sorry, but no immediate plans yet, The Revolutionary period is potentially a BIG project if done properly and I currently have a full schedule lined up for the next couple of years. I have plans. I am dangerous when I have plans... |
Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 7th Jun 2020 11:40:17 Dear All I am also working on a Revolutionary French Army. I have also requested Formed infantry in Tarletons, but also realise that as this is a bit more "niche", until they arrive, we may well need to improvise! OK - I was going to post pics here, but I'm not sure how to post pics to the Forum - so look on "Colin the Wargamer" and I'll get a post up today (done at 3pm). I would also be interested in Infantry in "Casket" hats - as these would do Austrians and Bavarians. For my French, I used French infantry & Artillery from Baccus, only slightly modified, Spanish Cavalry in Mirlitons (and Spanish/Prussian Hvy Cav to come) & Generals are Generals/Officers with some plumes and feathers added. I hope that this has encouraged you to keep going - Revolutionary armies look like fun! Cheers Colin (the Wargamer)

Standard User Posts: 22 lekw 8th Jun 2020 02:02:36 I wanted to do this period for a long time in 6mm. I love the ideas especially for Ausrians. Never thought of the Loyalists from AWI. Seems like it woud work well. Any thoughts on Russians? Ever since I saw the display of the Italian campaign at the military museum at St. Petersburg I wanted to do them. Would love to see some pictures!!! |

Standard User Posts: 7 34Binari 18th Jun 2020 05:33:28 I can't tell from the photo what sort of headwear the American Loyalists are wearing. How close are they to Austrians of the 1790s are they? |
