I particularly fancy a go at Magnano, or maybe Ostrach or Stockach. Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 15th Feb 2021 02:39:33 Another French Revolutionary War conversion rolls off the workbench (usually to be lost forever in the morass known as the silvery grey carpet) - this time, Austrian gunners in Rundenhat with rear brim. This fills the gap between the Tricorne (as used in the SYW) and the Schiffhut - as introduced around 1806. I hope that this post inspires you to buy some Baccus gunners and give it a go! https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/2021/02/mad-as-hatters-napoleonic-austrian.html

Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 14th Mar 2021 11:14:06 French revolutionary war army now up on the blog. The "must have army" - you are never short of an opponent (because everyone wants to get rid of you)! Based for BBB, Baccus figures. I hope that this army will soon take to the field of battle in Italy. With some extra troops, I should be able to fight in Europe 1792-99 as well. Enjoy! https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/p/gallery-french-revolutionary-wars-army.html

Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 11th Sep 2021 03:36:33 More figures on the blog - artillery in Tricornes & Corsehats, plus that AWL01 man with a barrel/sack/whatever as drafted labour from the local infantry! https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/2021/09/mad-as-hatters-2-french-revolutionary.html Enjoy! |
Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 12th Sep 2021 11:29:55 Yet more Revolutionary figures on the blog - AWL02 skirmisher drummers and flag bearers (Mk2). I trust that this inspires you to have a go - they are quite fun and effective conversions. https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/2021/09/napoleonic-austrians-1792-98-command.html

Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 12th Sep 2021 11:56:32 Final post of the day - Austrian Chevaux Leger 1792-98 in green coats. You'll need SBR05 for the troopers & the Command figures from SAU06 (Kuirassiers) for the Officer, flag bearer & trumpeter. This is not a problem, as you can order more command figures and fewer troopers when you order your Kuirassiers (which you'll need anyway, to stamp out the French & their dangerous ideas..). See more here... https://colinthewargamer.blogspot.com/2021/09/revolutionary-austrian-chevaux-leger.html |
Standard User Posts: 15 Bunny 28th Sep 2021 12:06:52 I'm very keen on this period too, would love to do 6mm or 10mm but neither have complete ranges |
Napoleonic Revolutionary War/Italian Campaign Colin the Wargamer 29th Sep 2021 04:02:50 Dear Bunny You can make quite a few of the troops with a different paint job or a bit of minor conversion. Though, of course, a properly scuplted range would be nice...
