Joy of Six 2020 Cancelled

6th May 2020

It gives us no pleasure at all, but after long consideration, we have decided to cancel this year's Joy of Six event.   Given the current situation with regards to lockdown it seems unlikely that gatherings the size of JOS will be allowed to go ahead.  Even if they were to be allowed, it is a sobering fact that a large percentage of our attendees would fit into the higher risk category and that is not a responsible course of action.

We know that lots of you have been working on games for the show and that traders have been looking forward to releasing new ranges there.   We are no exception to that.  All that can be said is that we are looking ahead to 2021 and will shortly be announcing details of that date. 

As part of this process we are also pulling the plug on the Baccus Open Day workshop tours.  Once again, that will have to wait until 2021.  

In the meantime, stay safe - we want all of you to be there for JOS21!

Dear Peter.  Not an easy decision, I am sure.

I look forward to hearing about JOS 21.  By which time I'll have painted enough troops to do any battle you like on a 1:1 figure ratio (sorry - joking).  On a more serious note, how do I apply to put on a game next year?

Aww....!  but a sensible, and in my opinion, the right decision considering the situation we find ourselves in.

A really tough decision, Peter. Will miss the show, as will many. It is right up there amongst the best. Please leave my demonstration game in the list for next yer. Stay safe in the meantime.

No surprise to me, I emailed about this a while ago so watch out probable that we won't have any events until September now

That's a clever decision wise and courageous!

It seemed difficult to come this year, and We will do our best to come next year!
