My plausible reason:

The Trans-Atlantic Tunnel was closed for cleaning.

I don't know if everyone has seen it yet, but I've posted a report about the JOS15 show.  It really was a smashing day.  To those of you went it will bring back pleasant memories, to those of you who missed it , then get in next year!

We even had people attending from the South East of England.  I have been assured by some inhabitants of this strange region that a barrier preventing northward travel was raised each Friday afternoon and not lowered again until Monday morning...

No such barriers for these South Easterners, Peter, though the traffic congestion around Nottingham to Sheffield nearly contrived to prevent us getting there ;-) It was a great day, thanks to you and the team. There is a write-up and photos of our Battle of Neuve Chapelle demo game here.

Sadly my only excuse is living on the other side of the planet. It does look awesome and I will have to time it with a trip to England on day.
